50K - 6 am start

32K - 7 am start

10M - 8 am start

Well, I received word today.  I must cancel the 2020 Resort to Rock.  I know this is frustrating for everyone, but there is no other choice. I waited as long as possible to make the final call hoping for the best, but the Covid cases continue to rise and it’s just not safe to bring people together.      Please understand this decision was made not just for your safety, but also those marking the courses, all (200) runners, each runners family and crew, aid station crews, medical, trail guides and sweepers.  Even if you yourself may feel fine, there’s a very high chance one of these people have recently been exposed and doesn’t know it, or may even have it and be asymptomatic. This is a burden I don’t think any of us want to carry.  We need to concentrate on being safe and keeping our neighbors safe.  We all need to do our part to slow the spread and I believe we’ll all feel better knowing we took care of each other, not just ourselves.

I suspended payment several weeks ago, this is so Ultrasignup didn’t take their fee from your registration and your credit card would not be charged until such a time I was certain I could have the race.  If you’re on the waiting list your card has not and will not be charged.  If you are on the participant list, I am happy to roll you to Resort to Rock 2021 or 2022 or the 2020 Bogus 50/50 (assuming we will have this race).  The other option I can offer you is an 80% refund.  You will need to let me know by Race Day August 15th which option you would like.

Be safe friends

This is the 6th year for Resort to Rock. It is being held almost entirely on single-track trails at the beautiful Bogus Basin Ski Resort. This race offers three distances: a 50K, a 32K, and a 10-miler. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Ridge to Rivers Trail System.

We will be again sharing the hill with the annual Bogus Basin Hill Climb. Their event starts at the bottom on the hill and they ride to the top. Please tell any spectators coming up to watch you to be aware of the bike racers on the road!

Race Courses

All three courses start and finish at Simplot Lodge.  The cutoff for all three races in 4PM.  The 50K course will start off on the Nordic trail then run beautiful single track down around Stack Rock and back through the Start/Finish line where the 32K and 10M start. All three courses leave on Deer Point, hit Around The Mountain and eventually make it to Pioneer Lodge. The 10-milers will complete their race going back to the Start/Finish Line at Simplot Lodge while the 32K and the 50K wind their way around the mountain traversing the mountain on both the front and back side. They will both make a fast finish on Shindig where their friends and spectators will be able to cheer them on as they make their way to the Finish Line party.

The 10M has approx 1634’ elevation gain and is all on single track. It has 2 aid stations. This is a loop course, introducing even the beginning trail runner to some great single track without too much technical terrain.

The 32K has approx 3824’ elevation gain, 4 aid stations, and several great places for spectators to cheer you on. The first ~ 9 miles is a loop course; then the runner will traverse the front and back side of the resort taking in the spectacular views. Almost all of this course is on single track showcasing the beautiful trails and views at Bogus Basin Ski Resort.

The 50K has approx 4636’ elevation gain, 8 aid stations, and several great places for spectators to cheer you on. The first 18.1 miles is a loop course out to Stack Rock and back to the Start/Finish. The second almost 9 miles is another loop on the Bogus Basin Ski Resort then the runner will traverse the front and back side of the resort taking in the spectacular views. Almost all of this course is on single track showcasing the beautiful trails and views at Bogus Basin Ski Resort.
